Around the World in the seventies on a Triumph Tiger in 1973.
My brother brought the book Jupiter’s Travel in the 1970s from a trip to London and once I got my hands on it I read through it in record time. Ted Simone, another Brit, abandoned a career in chemical engineering and travelled around the world, starting in 1973 on a Triumph Tiger with 500 ccm, when I was just 14 years old and got my first exposure to motorcycling on a Hercules Sport Bike with 50ccm. He covered 64,000 miles through 45 countries. That’s what from then on I wanted to do.
