Fake Honey

Ants as an indicator species. A friend told me recently that most honey has sugar added. Being German, from a country where Honey only can contain 100% honey and Butter only 100% butter made from cow milk, I sort of assumed that Honey is pure elsewhere too. In addition, many honeys sold locally don‘t have ingredients listed on the glass/bottle, so how can you tell? Easy: if ants feed on it, it is not pure honey. So far I bought only one that is not attacked by ants: Langnese, made in Germany according to highest German Food Purity Standards. Available in some shops in the Philippines. Yes, it is more expensive, but in exchange you are guaranteed that each spoon full is a spoon of pure honey, without sugar water, who knows how much pure honey is actually in the other honeys and how little honey you actually get?
