I have to comment since I come across this nonsense more frequently these days. Just observe a ship going towards the horizon and beyond through binoculars. The first thing goes is the bow wave, and then the ship hull sort of sinks deeper below the horizon the farther you go away. Every sailor knows this. That’s why in the old days sailing ships had crow nests, because you see the enemy ship earlier rising behind the horizon than from the deck, which is much lower. It can only be explained sphere, not with a flat earth. An example photo is here:

This is so obvious and can be observed by everybody, one would assume it should end the discussion. But no. Some hillbilly just like this nonsense.
The most obscure thing I read in a readers comment was the question why airplanes don’t turn down the nose to follow the earth curvature. That guy did not have the slightest understanding of physics, but he felt pretty smart with his argument.
I must admit that I am loosing my belief in mankind.
