Not only Chinese companies, but this one was Chinese…
Just replaced the LiIon battery of my Wahl beard trimmer avoiding to transform into Santa Claus. The trimmer had given up after 2 years (my previous Braun razors lasted 15 years on average, sometimes longer). This one has a LiIon battery made in China. The manufacturers claim charge cycles somewhere between 600 and 2000. I trim my beard usually once a week, so that makes in 2 years around 104 charges. Assuming the low 600 cycles that still means that the battery only delivered 17.33 Percent of the promised lifetime.
The single cell battery has a built-in BMS (Battery Management System), so the battery itself should protect itself from over charging or deep draining. So the failure is not caused by the PCB electronics.
The only good thing, all components were screwed together and the thing could be taken apart easily.

But that is no excuse.
Would I buy this product again, or recommend it to my friends?
